Over the course of intensive weekly sessions (Fridays and Saturdays), you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Explore the depths of emotion: Delve into character development and express a wide range of emotions with authenticity.
• Collaborate with a diverse team: Work alongside talented artists from Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, and Germany to create a truly international theatrical experience.

Our expert team, led by acclaimed director Arkadiusz Ziętek – a dedicated theatre educator, choreographer, and musician, alongside guest artists. With a focus on both individual growth and collaborative teamwork, this workshop is designed to inspire and empower aspiring actors of all levels.

WHO: We invite young people and young adults aged 16-25 from Poland and Ukraine. We especially encourage those with experience in theatre, singing, or playing an instrument, but it’s not a requirement to join the Workshop Stage.

Arkadiusz Ziętek, a visionary director and educator, has left an indelible mark on the international theatre scene. He served as the artistic director of Interkunst e.V. in Berlin from 2003 to 2019. He has pioneered innovative projects that seamlessly blend diverse performing arts disciplines. His international collaborations bring together actors, musicians, dancers, and circus artists to create truly immersive experiences.

Beyond his artistic pursuits, Ziętek is deeply committed to social change. His theatrical works often explore pressing societal issues, sparking meaningful conversations and inspiring action. His educational philosophy emphasises the power of interactivity and spontaneity, drawing on a rich repertoire of theatrical techniques. From improvisation and theatre of the oppressed to method acting and community theatre, Ziętek has mastered a diverse array of approaches that foster creativity, empathy, and personal growth.

In 2007, Ziętek made a significant contribution to the Polish theatre landscape by conducting one of the country’s first improvised theatre workshops alongside Mike Hughes. This pioneering endeavour ignited a dynamic movement that continues to shape the nation’s theatrical scene.

Through his workshops and trainings, Ziętek empowers individuals to develop essential interpersonal skills, including spontaneity, creativity, communication, public speaking, and group building.
