We’ll spend the final months of the year exploring films that revolve around media. Television, radio, print, and the vast universe of online platforms will provide the setting and backdrop for our cinematic stories.
The role and influence of media are evolving rapidly, driven by technological progress, the rise of artificial intelligence, and fierce competition for our attention. Some of these shifts are positive—like the speed and global reach of information—while others are far more troubling. We now live in an era of fake news, disinformation, and an uncontrolled flood of content (much of it AI-generated), where reliable, trustworthy sources are increasingly hard to find. Cinema strives to keep pace with these changes and capture their essence.
