Wall Street | Miasto Movie
About
Wall Street is one of the most significant films portraying brutal, ruthless capitalism, and a classic staple in Oliver Stone’s extensive filmography. Michael Douglas, who won an Oscar for his performance, stars as Gordon Gekko—a charismatic financier regarded by many as the true king of Wall Street. Like a modern-day Midas, Gekko turns everything he touches into gold. However, it is an undeniable fact that he operates unethically, and at times, outright illegally.
The film’s second protagonist is Bud Fox (Charlie Sheen), a young and ambitious stockbroker. The boy comes under the millionaire’s wing and becomes his protégé. He discovers the dark underbelly of the stock market and high finance, where a fortune can be made at lightning speed—but everything comes with a moral and personal price.
