The upcoming edition ofEast of Culture – Different Sounds in Lublin (July 2–5) is set to chart a sonic path through the contemporary scenes of Georgia and Ukraine.
This year, the festival invites audiences into an immersive space where medieval polyphony intersects with modular synthesis, and Eastern mysticism is recontextualized through Western pop-culture tropes.
Marking the 19th edition produced by Warsztaty Kultury and the 13th under the Wschód Kultury (Different Sounds) banner—a collaborative initiative by the National Centre for Culture, the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, and the cities of Lublin, Białystok, and Rzeszów.
Our mission is to spotlight avant-garde movements that defy categorisation, showcasing artists who are currently disrupting local algorithmic trends and reshaping regional identities. We are particularly focused on genre-fluid projects that filter traditional roots through modern technical sensibilities, constantly seeking “different sounds” to redefine the regional zeitgeist.
This year’s musical lineup final additions:
Nina Eba A solo project from the Ukrainian-born, Graz-based DJ, producer, and vocalist. While rooted in electronic music, Eba eschews rigid genre boundaries in favor of an eclectic, high-energy fusion. Her live sets and studio work are a kinetic blend of drum ‘n’ bass, heavy electro, breakbeat, and hyperpop. With a heavy emphasis on multi-media visual integration, her Lublin performance will feature material from her 2024 LP Morpho and its international remix counterpart, Re:Morphix.
