Taneczne Fajfy is a colorful and energetic prelude to the Night of Culture! Two groups of remarkably young-at-heart seniors – Wszystkie Strony Tańca (All Sides of Dance) and Lubelskie Czaderki – will present selected pieces from their repertoires on Saturday.

Wszystkie Strony Tańca

Wszystkie Strony Tańca group has been active at the Węglin Cultural Center (DDK “Węglin”) for several years. Each season, the group prepares a repertoire consisting of several selected dances, which are then performed at shows and community events organized by the center. In May 2024, the group also performed at the Taneczne Pasje Seniorów festival in Świdnik.

The classes are open to adults of all ages, including seniors, with the possibility for participants under the age of 18 to join as well. The focus is not on mastering dance steps perfectly, but rather on spending time together and allowing room for spontaneity. Moving together to music brings joy, helps relieve stress, and supports physical fitness and well-being.

Lubelskie Czaderki

Meanwhile Lubelskie Czaderki are a representative senior cheerleading group that also operates at DDK “Węglin.” Each session begins with a warm-up and strengthening exercises targeting different muscle groups. The training then continues with practicing previously learned movement routines, followed by learning new steps. These are combined into short choreographies that form the basis for creating new dance performances. Classes take place to music, and pom-poms often accompany the routines.

With each passing year, the group continues to refine its skills and enhance the appeal of its performances. This creates new opportunities and leads to numerous public appearances. The training sessions are intended for everyone who feels young at heart, enjoys music and dance, has a sense of rhythm, and likes to spend their free time in an engaging and active way.
