This July, we are in for another memorable edition of Carnaval Sztukmistrzów. Over four days (22-25 July), we will meet many artists whose tireless efforts in co-creating this extraordinary event bring us many fantastic shows. Let’s celebrate – we all need it. Long live Carnaval!
Carnaval returns to familiar spaces in Lublin. Litewski Square, Old Town and Błonia near the Castle will become the venues of many theatre, circus, acrobatic and busker performances. Litewski Square will feature aerial acrobatics and two stages for busker performances. The Old Town will become home to Polish buskers and the festival’s music stage. Błonia near the Castle will fill up with attractions for kids, food trucks, the festival club and a large tent for unique circus shows. Like every year, highliners taking part in Urban Highline Festival will spice up the view above our heads with their acrobatics.
While the pandemic has significantly affected public spaces and changed our world, it will not change us. In the pandemic’s second year, we need Carnaval just as much as last year or the years before, if not more. Of course, the festival will be held in compliance with all pandemic restrictions. Our programming and logistical decisions depend on the general situation in the country. Given our experience with organising the festival last year, we want to prepare the event in the most considerate and responsible manner possible to make sure all visitors feel safe and comfortable during the event. We will keep you updated via Facebook and our website, sztukmistrze.eu. Full programme coming soon.
