For this edition, the focus will be on the concept of time, encompassing both its tangible aspects like hours, seasons, decades, centuries, and its more abstract interpretations. In this context, aspects like time travel or disruptions in film chronology are particularly noteworthy. The concept of time has been explored in cinema by many notable creators, from Georges Méliès and the experiments of the French New Wave, to postmodern masters like David Lynch and Quentin Tarantino. The theme of time and its impact on the world is very profound and wide-reaching. It provides a wide range of opportunities for creative exploration in entertainment cinema (including sci-fi, fantasy, adventure movies) and in more serious, artistic films, where concepts like transience, the passage of time, or alternative timelines are frequently used.
