Get ready for the highly anticipated Carnaval Sztukmistrzów, a celebration of new circus and ludic culture! From July 27th to 30th, 2023, Lublin will be buzzing with street performers and circus artists, ready to showcase breathtaking spectacles and shows that will leave you feeling thrilled and laughing uncontrollably. While most events are free, the organisers have a few special highlights that require tickets, and their sale has just begun. You can purchase tickets for the stage performances at this year’s Carnaval Sztukmistrzów through Going or at Empik stores.
This year marks the 14th edition of the festival, where circus artists take over the streets and squares of Lublin. The audience will be treated to performances in the circus tent, as well as daredevils walking above their heads on lines stretched between the rooftops of buildings in the Old Town. During the last weekend of July, Lublin will offer unforgettable circus experiences and a lively Carnaval atmosphere. As usual, Carnaval includes stage performances held in the Big Top and in theatre.
“Today marks the start of ticket sales for closed performances at Carnaval Sztukmistrzów. The majority of festival events is free and open to the public, but we always strive to include shows that are presented in theatre or under the Big Top.. This year, the closed performances will take place in two locations – in Błonia near the Lublin Castle and in the Old Theatre. In the tent, we will enjoy artists from Belgium – Marina Cherry and Be Flat group, while the Old Theatre will offer the opportunity to admire two Polish illusionists – Wojciech Rotowski and Roman Słomka,” says Iwona Kornet, Carnaval’s director.
Paid performances are just a part of this year’s festival offering. The programme also includes street performances, buskers’ shows, workshops, and numerous attractions for audiences of all ages. The full festival programme will be soon available on carnavallublin.eu.
