About<\/h2>\n

Nature is at the center of Yulia’s work. The artist is inspired by folk traditions, nature, animals, and fairy tales.\u00a0 Yulia’s creatures are armed with wings and claws, representing the predatory nature of the world, yet at the same time their ornamentation and colour attract and mesmerize; they are delicate, harmonious, and rhythmical. She creates a fascinating blend of traditional and contemporary elements, with references to abstract art, pop art, trash art, and environmental issues. Dunayeva’s work is remarkable for its curiosity and tenacity in exploring different artistic mediums. She sculpts, paints watercolors, creates collages, and processes textiles, constantly experimenting with materials and forms of expression. By using folk art, traditional designs, and nature as starting points, she explores themes such as humanity’s deep relationship with nature, the current ecological crisis, and the unity and interdependence of all of life.<\/p>\n
