About<\/h2>\n

This five-day intensive workshop will focus on music, movement, theatre techniques, circus, and clowning. The workshop is designed for circus artists, musicians, and actors who are interested in clowning, incorporating music on stage, and engaging in musical theater activities.<\/p>\n

What can you expect from the workshop?<\/h2>\n

This event will provide an introduction to movement exercises coupled with music, sound, and rhythm, as well as basic \u00a0clowning techniques. These techniques serve as a foundation for exploring emotions, stage presence, and expanding ways of expression. \u00a0By engaging in activities mainly centred around games and lighthearted scenarios, we aim to foster a safe and imaginative environment. This approach will heighten our understanding of our individual potential and the impact we have on the audience as performers.<\/p>\n

Exercises will be conducted individually, in pairs, and in both small and large groups. Members and directors of the Kejos collective, Marta Kuczy\u0144ska and Jacek Timingeriu, will guide the participants in creating music and movement-based acts based on their own ideas. These projects will be showcased during a workshop performance.<\/p>\n

Results of the workshop<\/h2>\n

The outcome of the workshops will be to develop or refine ideas for new circus performances. The most captivating workshop projects or acts will qualify for next stages of the Polish Incident project in 2024. They will receive our support in implementing their performance idea, and the best productions will have the opportunity to premiere at Carnaval Sztukmistrz\u00f3w in 2024.<\/p>\n

Who can participate in the workshop?<\/h2>\n

We welcome artists who are interested in exploring the fusion of circus and theater through clowning techniques and music. Our invitation extends to those who are looking to develop their own concepts for a performance, study, or collaborative creative project.<\/p>\n
