An art ensemble with ambitions to venture beyond the traditional boundaries associated with their instruments, Dopey Monkey<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s journey since their formation in 2015 has seen the duo explore a range of mixed media creations, and present bespoke performances that highlight the inquisitive dynamic of the duo\u2019s partnership.<\/p>\n

Dopey Monkey\u2019s releases and commissions thus far have taken the shape of genre-defying collages inspired by curiosity, playful collaboration, storytelling and art, bringing a DIY approach to their compositional process and to the visual complements that they craft, while seeking to construct an exciting, inspiring space for artistic and sonic exploration, and an inviting atmosphere for listeners and collaborators to accompany them on their journey.<\/p>\n

The band’s performance is a highlight of the Dopey Monkey residency at Warsztaty Kultury, aligning with the UK-Poland Cultural Season in 2025. This initiative aims to rejuvenate Polish-British cultural dialogue by addressing global challenges and fostering collaboration within the cultural communities. In Poland, the British Council will orchestrate the events, while in the UK, the Polish Cultural Institute in London and the Adam Mickiewicz Institute will take the helm. This season represents a strategic effort to enhance intercultural exchange and understanding.<\/p>\n
