During the war, critical infrastructure and public buildings are being destroyed, while bookstores and publishing houses have gone up in flames. Our presence at the Forum is therefore not only an opportunity to meet and talk about books, but also an expression of our support, solidarity and concern for Ukraine. Its publishing activity centres mainly on the \u201cWschodni Express\u201d series. The series primarily features prose and essays spanning a wide range of genres, as well as poetry. Its authors include some of the most distinguished writers from Ukraine, Belarus, Latvia and Lithuania. The publishing house also takes pride in its collaboration with Bohdan Zadura, one of Poland\u2019s foremost translators of Ukrainian prose and poetry. Among its achievements is the \u201cAngelus\u201d award, granted in 2022 for the translation from Hungarian of Zolt\u00e1n Mih\u00e1ly Nagy\u2019s book \u201cSzata\u0144ski pomiot\u201d. The translation was made by Daniel Warmuz.
