It’s time to pull your comfiest shoes out of the wardrobe and let yourself be swept away by live music! On the last Saturday of August, Litewski Square will be transformed into a vibrant open-air dance floor. Step into the enchanting world of interwar dance parties, where lively foxtrots, elegant tangos, upbeat polkas, charming waltzes, and energetic swing tunes will fill the air.
We’ll start the evening with a dance workshop led by Piotr Zgorzelski. We’ll brush up on the basic steps of urban tango, foxtrot and waltz. The workshop will also return at intervals throughout the dance party. Two bands will provide the music for dancing! Praska Kapela z Bajerem will play songs from the streets of old Warsaw, while Orkiestra Taneczna Bonanza will take us on a musical journey through the interwar period.
You don’t have to be a dance expert or know all the steps – all you need is a good mood, a love of dancing, and an openness to meeting new people. Let’s dance the summer evening away together! This is an event that will fill Litewski Square with joy and shared celebration. The dance party will take place on the last Saturday of August as a festive farewell to the summer holidays.
