CONCERT: Atomic Simao and Junket (UKR)

The conference will conclude with a double concert featuring Atomic Simao and Junket, two Ukrainian bands. The Kyiv-based Atomic Simao is one of the greatest hopes of the contemporary Ukrainian alternative scene. The musicians seamlessly blend jazz themes with improvisation, rock flair, funk dynamics, and electronic sounds. Junket is an electronic music project that fuses electronic sounds with instruments (saxophone, flute). The band’s distinctive trait is that they don’t perform pre-recorded songs; instead, they produce each song live with no option for editing. Junket’s music is a fusion of break-beat, funk, electro dub, minimal house and drum’n’bass.
