Day Care Room for Ukrainians | Світлиця – місце зустрічі

About

Since March 1, we’ve been running a day care centre for Ukrainian children and a relaxation zone for their parents (Lublin’s Old Town, Grodzka 7). Sociocultural animators take care of children aged 5+: you can play board games, play with toys and building blocks, watch animated films, and play ball in the courtyard. In the meantime, their parents can rest, drink tea or coffee. Free Wi-Fi and computers with Internet access are also available.

Additionally, we have prepared booklets with essential information in Ukrainian to help people in obtaining reliable information regarding legal and medical assicatance in Lublin from a single source. They’ll also learn where to look for work, where to stay, and which restaurants offer low-cost meals to refugees.

Once we familiarised ourselves with the needs of our guests, we also introduced daily organised activities for children: musical animations, artistic workshops, dog therapy, and screenings of Ukrainian animated films.
