About the event

Would you like to get rid of any yarn you no longer need at home? Maybe your grandmother gave you knitting needles that have been gathering dust? If so, we’ve got some exciting news for you! With your help, older Ukrainians will be able to make warm socks for warfighters.

The Café is a space for older people from Ukraine who often feel lonely in their new city. At the last Café event, the participants decided to knit woollen socks to be delivered to Ukraine. For this project, they will need short needles of different sizes, cable knitting needles (40 cm long) and colourful yarn. The items can be delivered to the secretary’s office at Workshop of Culture, (7 Grodzka Street), Monday – Friday between 9.30 and 16.30 until 9 February. Become entangled in our web of helping!
