The Face of War | book launch and discussion

About the Event

Join us for an evening of literature with Ukrainian poets. Meet the authors and translators of “Oblicza Wojny” (“The Faces of War), the newly published series of books of Ukrainian poetry translated into Polish in a gesture of solidarity, and published by Pogranicze.

The panelists will discuss their experiences of war, the emigration of Ukrainian writers, and the support provided by the Polish literary community and cultural professionals during wartime. Copies of the books in the series will be available for purchase. Proceeds from the sales will go toward supporting a residence programme for Ukrainian artists and creators staying in Poland during the war.
Featured guests: Krzysztof Czyżewski and Małgorzata Czyżewska, Ija Kiva, and Iryna Mularczuk.

The panels will be held in Polish and Ukrainian.
