Nature in the City – A Graphic and Interactive Display – exhibition
About
Step into a living, breathing panorama of Lublin’s Old Town at the ‘Nature in the City’ exhibition. This groundbreaking multimedia exhibit traces the city’s natural history over the past 200 years, inviting visitors to ponder the changing relationship between humans and nature.
A collaboration between artist Mariusz Tarkawian, naturalist Jakub Orłowski, and VR specialist Paweł Łuciuk, the exhibition uses augmented reality to bring Tarkawian’s stunning illustrations to life. Don a VR headset and immerse yourself in a world where plants and animals coexist with the bustling city. As you explore, consider the questions: What role has nature played in our city’s past and present? How has it changed over time? Which plants and animals have made their home here as cities have grown and climate has shifted, and which have vanished? How is nature adapting to life in an increasingly urban environment?”
