About the film
One of the biggest hits of the 90s, now considered a classic of action cinema. A significant portion of the film takes place aboard an EX33 line city bus that transports passengers around Los Angeles. Howard Payne (Dennis Hopper) plants a bomb on a bus full of people and if the driver slows down below 50 mph, it explodes. Keanu Reeves plays a young cop who rushes to the rescue and Annie Porter (Sandra Bullock) unexpectedly steps in to help. The film is superbly shot, but it also has a solid, intelligent script.
The thriller features spectacular scenes of the speeding bus and outstanding performances by the stars.
