The Man Who Killed Don Quixote | Miasto movie
About
To say that Terry Gilliam’s biggest achievement was telling Don Quixote’s story would be an overstatement. Terry Gilliam, an outstanding director and member of the legendary Monty Python, has directed many spectacular and successful films, such as “Brazil,” “The Fisher King,” “12 Monkeys,” and “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas,” but it could be argued that “The Man Who Killed Don Quixote” is his most significant work in some ways. Gilliam worked on the film for nearly 30 years, and it proved to be both a blessing and a curse for him. The filming was a parade of disasters, complete with floods, cast changes, injuries to the main actors, funding problems, arguments with producers and even interferences from a nearby military base, whose planes disrupted shooting. Nonetheless, after years of struggle, Gilliam finally succeeded, and today we can admire the results of all the effort put into the film. The final version of “The Man Who Killed Don Quixote”, dubbed the most cursed film of all time, stars Jonathan Pryce and Adam Driver.
