An iconic Oscar-winning film by Ridley Scott with the unforgettable roles of Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis. “Thelma and Louise” is at once a road movie, a feminist manifesto, a crime drama and, as the history of cinema shows, one of the most important, groundbreaking films of the late 20th century. Two friends – a housewife and a waitress – set off on a journey together, which in time turns into a daring escape. It’s an escape not just from the police but above all, in its symbolic layer, from the rigid and oppressive social framework, from the brutality of the male world and from stereotypical roles assigned to women. This classic of American cinematography has lost none of its relevance and will be the perfect conclusion to our summer series. The cast includes, apart from the aforementioned Davis and Sarandon, the great Brad Pitt, Harvey Keitel and Michael Madsen.
