Martin Scorsese delivers a high-octane cinematic portrait of Jordan Belfort—the notorious stockbroker whose unconventional tactics earned him a massive fortune. Since many of those tactics skirted the law, Belfort eventually found himself in the crosshairs of the FBI.
As a director, Scorsese has repeatedly proven his mastery at depicting the meteoric rise to the top and the agonizing fall from grace. This theme is woven through his greatest masterpieces, including Raging Bull, Goodfellas, and Casino. The Wolf of Wall Street fits perfectly within the master’s body of work. Following tradition, the director assembled a star-studded cast led by Leonardo DiCaprio in the title role. DiCaprio is brilliantly supported by Jonah Hill, Margot Robbie, and Matthew McConaughey, among others. The experience is brought to life by an exceptional soundtrack composed by Howard Shore.
