A film directed by Jason Reitman, with an excellent screenplay by Diablo Coda – the most interesting scriptwriter in Hollywood, the writer of Juno or Jennifer’s Body. However, Young Adult is most of all a display of Charlize Theron’s acting prowess. The actress portrays Mavis, a youthful woman after a divorce who has many painful experiences. We meet the protagonist when she changes her life and returns to her native Minnesota. She also has a simple goal: she wants to regain her former love, Buddy Slade (Patrick Wilson). It will soon turn out how the woman’s dreams and ambitions will turns out in confrontation with reality and which of the characters will fulfill their plans.
