He has been involved in Lublin’s cultural sector since 1991. He first worked in Lubelskie Studio Teatralne and after transformations in the Centre for Culture in Lublin (until 1995, he was part of the team at Grodzka Gate–NN Theatre Centre). He co-founded the International Meetings of Dance Theatres. He worked as the director of organisational development of the festival in the years 1996-2002. From 1996 to 1999, he was the publisher and the associate editor of the monthly cultural magazine “Na przykład”. He has co-created and published “Lubelski Informator Kulturalny ZOOM” (2004-2008) and the online magazine “Kultura Enter” (since 2008). He was one of the main initiators and coordinators of Night of Culture. He also created The Jagiellonian Fair and started the publication series “Wschodni Express”. He started and coordinated many other projects, such as Planeta Lublin or the “Taboriada” Festival of Roma Culture. He was a member of the 2020 Culture team that prepared Lublin’s final application for the ECC 2016 competition. In 2008, he received the Award for the Promotion of Culture granted by the Mayor of Lublin. He is a member of the Mayor’s Culture Committee. He took part in the activities of various NGOs, among them Stowarzyszenie Literackie “Kresy” and Towarzystwo Edukacji Kulturalnej; he is also a member of the Bruno Schulz Festival Association. He is a husband, father, and grandfather in his private life, and he takes great pride in it. He likes animals, plants and people (a little).
