The recording of the soundscape of Tivoli Pond (Tivolski ribnik). It’s a man-made pond created in 1880 at the southeastern end of Tivoli City Park in Ljubljana. It’s part of Tivoli–Rožnik Hill–Šiška Hill Nature Park and from the beginning has been used for recreation, angling, and as a flood-control reservoir. It has been home to a variety of native and non-native animal species and it has served as a theme and a scene for visual artists and musicians. The photo shows a small statue entitled “Ribe” (Fish). This sculpture of two standing fish was created in 1935 by the expressionist sculptor France Kralj and installed in the pond in 1994.
