In December join us on Facebook every Wednesday at 19.00 to discover a short Christmas film for the whole family.
Schedule:
09.12.20 – “Pico” dir. Kayoko Nagashima
16.12.20 – “Stella” dir. Izzy Burton
23.12.20 – “Penguin’s Christmas” dir. Arjan Wilschut
.
About the films:
Pico
Who wants to make a snowman? Raise your hands! Even though we are unlikely to experience something as unexpected as little Pico does when playing, you too can make friends with her mysterious guest, albeit from a distance, for instance by taking care of our environment. The mysterious character and the surroundings in which it commonly thrives will be happier when we pick a bike or a stroll over a car or a board game over a console. Special thanks go to the film’s creator Kayoko Nagashima and composer Jeremy Beday for this short and very sweet film that puts us in a festive mood.

STELLA
No one should spend Christmas alone. Stella already knows that this year neither her children nor grandchildren can visit her. Fortunately, she will have unexpected visitors…We should also make sure no one spends Christmas completely alone. Let’s call our grandparents on a regular basis, give gingerbread cookies to a lonely neighbour or support those organisations that help the lonely. Special thanks go to the film’s creators, that is the British programme Re-engage, Izzy Burton and Passion Animation Studios for this wise and valuable film that puts us in a festive mood.

Penguin’s Christmas
Even a penguin wants to have real Christmas. A penguin on the South Pole tries to get to Santa Claus on the North Pole but nothing seems to work. Fortunately, like in real life, that’s where friends step in to help. Special thanks go to the film’s creators Arjan Wilschut and composers Dick and David Wilschut for this charming and heart-warming film that puts us in a festive mood.

No language barrier. The films are silent.
We’d like to wish all fans of the Magic Lantern a Merry Christmas!
