About
Bonsai is the Japanese art of miniaturizing trees and shrubs, which literally means “tree in a container” (bon – tray/container, sai – plant/cultivation).
The goal is to create a harmonious, miniature representation of trees found in nature. This is achieved through precise pruning of roots and shoots, wiring branches, and specialized care in shallow containers.
During the workshop, all participants will plant a living plant in a shallow oval pot, drawing inspiration from this Japanese art.
Each participant, under the guidance of the instructor, will create a bonsai to take home.
