Weekend cultural program prepared by the Workshops of Culture in Lublin is an extension of the daily cultural offer and festival programs, adding open-format activities taking place in the city’s hidden alleys during the summer season.
Program description
Spring and summer 2026 in Lublin promise an unique transformation of urban space into an open laboratory of art. Warsztaty Kultury have prepared a cycle of over 40 events aimed at enlivening weekends by filling not only main squares, but above all hidden alleyways, historic gateways, and intimate courtyards with cultural activities from various artistic disciplines.
In summer, culture in Lublin is not confined to indoor venues—it pulses through every corner of the city, waiting to be discovered. The entire program is designed to foster intergenerational integration and activate public space, presenting Lublin as a city where art is an everyday, accessible experience.
The main idea of the program is diversity of forms, accessibility, and unique experiences. Because events are distributed throughout the city center, every resident and visitor can unexpectedly encounter art in the least expected places, and — most importantly — often experience it in an active way. Events will take place at Jerzy Giedroyć Square, Łokietek Square near the Krakowska Gate, Rybny Square, and in quiet courtyards on Grodzka Street.
