Workshops of Culture in Lublin invite you to free film screenings as part of Miasto Movie The screenings take place every Wednesday at 7 PM. This month’s theme is emotion.

Theme#31 /// The City of Emotions

Miasto Movie’s spring edition features films that tackle a range of human emotions. Emotions such as joy, sadness, fear, anger, love, and hate shape and determine the actions of the protagonists. In addition, they serve as inspiration for filmmakers. The Pianist, Schindler’s List, and Aida might not have existed without sorrow or sadness.

Tarantino’s passion for low-budget kung-fu films and spaghetti westerns spawned films such as Kill Bill and Django. Affirmation of life and empathy have been at the heart of the cinema of Agnes Varda, Ken Loach, Richard Attenborough and Federico Fellini. The history of cinema is full of similar examples. Spring, a time for blossoming and awakening, is the perfect season for such films.

The films are screened in original audio with Polish subtitles.
