About the film

Richard Linklater’s well-known film “Dazed and Confused” will round off our October celebration of Miasto Movie’s anniversary. Over the years, this coming-of-age comedy-drama has become an icon, and some of its lines, like Matthew McConaughey’s famous ‘alright, alright, alright’ have become staples of popular culture. The film is set on the last day of school, when the teenagers in a typical American town are getting ready for a grand party. Linklater paints an insightful, yet warm and sympathetic portrait of the 1970s generation. The aforementioned McConaughey, Milla Jovovich, Ben Affleck, and Rory Cochrane play the young protagonists. The film’s fantastic music brings everything together.
